Families Matter today launched its new website, www.FamiliesMatterMemphis.org.
The site will serve as the program's online home, a resource for local churches and other organizations and a clearinghouse for marriage-strengthening resources and events in Memphis.
"Families Matter is poised to make a tremendous difference in Memphis in 2010 and beyond, and this new website is one of our first steps," said Carol Jackson, program director at Families Matter. "With a centralized online location for marriage-strengthening resources here in Memphis, it is my hope that Families Matter can not only strengthen marriages but also change lives and thus, transform Memphis."
Families Matter’s goal is to build a communitywide culture that supports healthy marriages and families, while reducing divorce filings and the out-of-wedlock birth rate in Shelby County. Founded in 2004, Families Matter is a not-for-profit outreach ministry of Christ Community Health Services that provides effective strategies and support to individuals and organizations that prepare, strengthen and restore marriages and families.
